Greatest Invention Of The Century

technology invention16 Greatest Invention Of The Century

What’s the greatest invention of the century? If you ask this question to a person, one would get as many answers as the number of respondents. In my case, I would say it to be the personal computer because it has changed the way we lived.

As everybody else, I have my reasons for declaring it. I would christen the invention as “the greatest” which has the most widespread effect on every segment of society & species. Now let’s prove my point:

Effect on every segment of society: The computer has had a considerable & irreversible effect on every segment of society: Employed, unemployed, businessmen, politician, diplomats, pvt. companies, govt deptts, urban, rural, banks, design, civilians, defense, rich, poor etc etc.

Widespread: sales to accounting, thinking to implementing, writing to advertising, US to Africa, Teaching to research, underground to space, science to arts, pin to cryogenic engine design etc etc.

Effect on every species: (directly or indirectly) – It definitely has an impact on every species. In animal research, population count, immune system, DNA mapping etc. the computer has played a tremendous & an… More >>

Agriculture Inventions

agriculture volunteer progr Agriculture Inventions

Agriculture as we all know is production of agronomy goods through the cultivation of crops and also by the massive domestication of animals. This study is called agronomy science. Agriculture inventions have evolved massively by the years as farming and farm machines have grown too in these years. What was done by the threshing machine for so many years has been taken over by the combine.

One of the first agriculture invention was the iron plow used a lot those days in the 1700′s. Then came the wood plow in the 1800′s and the iron plow was discontinued as the wood plow was easier and better to use. And then man had a brain wave and discovered the use of animals in farming and tamed horses and used them in the Reaper which was used in harvesting wheat and were drawn by horses.

The Reaper was a huge success as an agriculture invention. After this man discovered he could do more and a little more machinery will be more helpful and work can be done faster and on a larger… More >>

When You See Science Fairs Through a Different Lens

science invention12 When You See Science Fairs Through a Different Lens

The science fairs of 2009 are well underway. I hope as parents and community volunteers, we’re embracing this opportunity instead of cringing. It’s a lot of work from start to finish. Just finding a worthy experiment can be a job in itself. No matter what age group you encourage, it’s no small task to come home from work, roll up your sleeves, and support that young adult from hypothesis, to research, to finished project. It does them no good for us to get too involved; yet the need for distant guidance is quite a tug. After all, we know how to do it, right?I bet we don’t. If we had all the answers, all our scientific enigmas would be solved already! The only thing requiring more patience than teaching a child is sparking their desire to learn. Maybe what needs to be sparked first, is a basic understanding of why that should matter to us.Our Eyes On ScienceSo many changes happen in a lifetime. Our grandfather’s generation saw the crank engine model A drive down dirt roads. Some older farmhouses still exist today that were once only lit… More >>

Cord Blood To Cure Thalassemia And Many More Diseases

medical invention1 Cord Blood To Cure Thalassemia And Many More Diseases

Medical science is doing wonders by means of its inventions and its proper application. It has enabled mankind to show his mastery over the god. The medical professionals are curing a number of people of their diseases and giving them a new lease of life everyday. A man can change his god-gifted features wishfully with the help of science. Even gender change is no longer a matter of surprise and awe. So man is seen defying their god in a way. But still he is unable to conquer the place occupied by the almighty God; he cannot impart life to all persons who are destined die. There are many such avenues left that are to be ventured by man. So, day-by-day man is trying to reach the ultimate knowledge.Of late, a striking invention of medical science has made man to see a ray of hope. Patients of incurable diseases have to undergo very painful process to continue their life. The patients of Thalassemia have to live on blood transfusion throughout their life. But the invention of the procedure to cure blood disorder has shown its patients a gleaming… More >>
